It's Finally Framed!

A while back I finished this little project for my daughter's room.  I just received it back from the framers last week!

All that is left to do is hang it on the wall!

A Bit of Cross Stitching

With the weather getting slightly cooler, I find myself wanting to curl up on the couch with a good movie, a cup of tea, and some needlework.

As I have mentioned before, I am a sucker for samplers.  Currently I have been working on this Winterwoods ABC's Cross Stitch Sampler, purchased from Alicia Paulson at Rosy Little Things.  I just adore her stuff!

In fact, as I have been comfortably curled up, I have been letting my mind wander to a few designs for a sampler and quilts/wall hangings. We'll see where it goes!

4th WIP of 2012

Let's jump in shall we?

I finished the Daisy Chain Crewel work sampler.  This was my first time doing crewel work, and a first for many of the stitches involved in it.  The killer for me...french knots.  Though those were a stitch I learned in my early teens, no matter how many times I do them, they always seem to get the best of me.

Now all that is left is to frame it!  I'm hanging this little beauty in my little girl's room.

Needed to send off some thank you cards, so I whipped these up.

I actually made several more of them, but realized after sending them off to their recipients, I had forgotten to photograph them.
